I have a card to share but first just want to update you how our move went as a lot of you wished us well on our move and hoping everything went smoothly. So thank you all, very much appreciated.
The move was quite traumatic and I don't won't to do it again lol. As well as all the problems we had getting reconnected back to the internet some of our possessions were destroyed by rain (mostly my craft things). This is because we had downsized and couldn't get everything in our house right away. We left a lot of stuff outside, well wrapped, or so we thought. It rained constantly when we were moving and so much got water damaged including all my craft papers, scrapbook album, cutting mat etc. etc. I was heartbroken but I am slowly starting to replace it all.
Like I said I don't want to move for a very very very long time!
I don't have a craft room anymore but I do have a lovely crafting area with a new desk (a birthday present from my lovely fella) which looks lovely. Will take pics and show you all soon.
Anyhow on a brighter note, here is my card....
My gorgeous image is from Art by Miran and is coloured in with ProMarkers. The papers are LOTV Nitwits. I got my gems, button and doily from the Works. The ribbon came from the Ribbon Girl.

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you had such a dreadful move and then to lose crafty goodies too must have been the final straw. On the other hand it does mean a bit of shopping!! This is such a pretty card and thank you for joining AYLI this time xx

Thank you for the update, Michelle, it does sound traumatic and I would be heartbroken to lose any of my crafty goodies. I HATE moving and hope I never have to move again. We moved two years ago and also had to move out temporarily this spring when we had our water damages repaired. Things got destroyed both times. I am glad you are getting settled now and are slowly getting your crafty items replaced. Your new desk sounds nice and I look forward to seeing it. In the meantime, your card is beautiful! Love the pink and green colour combo, lovely layers, and gorgeous colouring!
ReplyDeleteYour card is so pretty, such a sweet image!

Hi Michelle,
ReplyDeleteoh that sounds awful that you lost so much.
You poor thing.
Down sizeing is never easy, and to loose your craft room too.
I used to craft in my front room when we lived in a small flat, and the place never looked tidy to me with all my crafting stuff on my desk all the time.
Luckily we moved to a bungalow which has 2 bedrooms so now I have a craft room again.
Now my craft room can still look messy, but at least I can close the door on it if I want.
Supper, super designed card, and such a very lovely image colured to perfection, and of course it's pink my fave colour.
Lots of crafty love. jenny L.
