Emerald City from the Wizard of Oz

Good morning crafty friends.  Do you have rain, like us here in Buxton?

I have something a little different to share today.  I was inspired by Sarah at Mallows Crafty Bits.  She posted a cross stitch make for the DT she is in at AYLI challenge blog.  I decided to join in with this piece I stitched not too long ago.

This is a design from Satsuma Street on Etsy and it was an absolute joy to stitch.  Even better because I am a Wizard of Oz fan!  Takes me right back to my childhood at Christmas time when this was always on.  I really did enjoy every stitch and seeing it come together.  I haven't framed it yet as I am torn how to frame it.  Satsuma Street showed it framed in a hoop but I know some people have framed theirs in a box frame.  So I'm still making my mind up lol.

Challenges:-

AYLI - Favourite non-card Project and Why - Cross stitch is my fave as this is how I got into crafting.  It is a very satisfying hobby as I love how with each stitch a picture appears.  I alway feel a real sense of achievement when I finish a cross stitch project.

Thanks so much for looking and have a great day
