Hello Friend

Hello everyone.  Hope you are all well today.  We have some lovely spring like weather here - hope it's nicer wherever you are.

I made this card for a friend who I am sending a late birthday present too.  I sent her a card on time but didn't manage to get to the PO to post her present.

I used dies that were in last months Die Cut Essentials magazine and followed a really helpful tutorial, in the mag, on making this.  I chose to go with patterned papers, gems and a red/pink colour scheme as I do like to add my own design to any tutorials that I follow.  This was a lot of fun to make and will do this again.

A Pot of Tea

Good evening everyone - hope you are all having a good day so far.

It's half term here now and because I work in a School I also get to spend half term with my boy.  Unfortunately, we are nursing colds and chesty coughs.

On the bright side, I did make this sweet teapot card.  The teapot die-cut is a Tattered Lace one which came free with this months Die Cutting Essentials mag.  It's lovely.  I took inspiration to make this card from one of Christina Griffiths You Tube Videos.

Swan Die-Cut Card

Happy New Year everyone!  I can't believe Christmas was over so fast lol.

I have a card to share today that is a bit different for me.  My fella buys me Die-Cut Essentials mag every month and Januarys has this gorgeous Swan die-cut in it.  I took inspiration from a designer called Sue Hughes who did cards with this die and tweaked the designs to my liking.  I really enjoyed making this and found it made a nice change from colouring stamped images.  It's also nice to have a card ready for my friends birthday in February.

Die Cut Peacock

Hello crafty friends.  I was sitting outside in this gorgeous sunny weather when the man opposite started trimming his hedges with a really noisy hedge trimmer.  Sounded on it's last legs to be honest.  Well the bloomin' noise was causing me a headache, so I decided to come in and put a card on...

This is a really gorgeous die and it came with this months Die Cutting Essentials magazine.  My fella got it for me and I love it.  I die-cut the frame out of gold mirri card and mounted it onto pink patterned papers.  The sentiment was also part of the set.
