GDT for Oldie but a Goodie

Good morning all.

I won a GDT place with an Oldie but a Goodie Challenge blog a couple of weeks ago.

This week their theme is Filigree.  I had to think on this one because I don't have filigree dies or embossing folders, but I did find I had a fair bit of filigree paper, so I went with that.  Don't forget to use something on your card that is older than 6 months for this challenge.

Here is my card.....

The stylish image is from Sassy Studio Designs and is coloured in with pro-markers.  The papers are a mixture of brands, but the main one in the background is Magnolia.  I distressed these papers with Tim Holtz distressing tool.  Everything else is from my stash. The sentiment is computer generated. Oh and I have used my Spellbinders floral oval for the frame and I have added little red pearls to this.

What? Another Christmas Card?

...yes another one lol.  I'm doing well so far.  Got me a nice little pile of Christmas cards ready for posting this year.

This image is so adorable and it is from the Paper Shelter.  I've coloured it in with pro-markers and have put some glitter on Santa and Rudolph.  The card base is a Kraft one from Hobbycraft.  The ribbon and pom pom trim were free from a magazine some time ago.  The sequin trim is from the Discount Centre.  The doily is from the Works.  Im sorry but I can't remember where my papers are from.  Will try to find out.

Fairy Friend

Good morning all, hope you are all well :0)

Today I want to share a fairy card.  This is one of my favourite stamps and I've used it loads.....

The stamp is a Whimsy one and the papers are My Minds Eye Spring Papers.  I used a cuttlebug embossing folder just behind the fairy.  The ribbon, big gem and doily are from the works.  Everything else is just from my stash.

This image is so adorable and I was lucky enough to be able to pick this from Stamp Art Designs.  It is called Alannah and Snowball and can be found here.  Thank you Kathryne of Stamp Art Designs.

It is coloured in with promarkers and I have added glitter to the snowman, Alannah's santa hat and the snow on the ground.  The papers are Wild Rose Studio Christmas papers.  The chipboard snowflake I coloured with a pro-marker to match my design.  The sentiment is a Pebbles inc. rub on.  The gems, card and bobble trim are just from my stash.

Zig Zagging Along

Good afternoon all.  Hope you are all OK.  Have you enjoyed your sunny weekend.  We did.  We went to Goyt Valley this weekend and I will show some photos on here as soon as I have sorted them.  I also have one of my cat Suki basking in the sunlight.  Did her old bones a load of good.

Here is a zig zag card I made.  I wanted to try something a little different as I am always doing square cards (which I love doing of course).  I found the instructions for this card in an old magazine.  It was Quick Cards Made Easy.  Took me a while to do though lol.....

It is a nice effect and I have given this a bit of a shabby chic feel.  The papers are a combination of Prima and Paislee 12 x 12"s.  The sentiment is a freebie that came in a set from a magazine and I used my circle and scallop circle dies to frame it.  The butterflies are a Papermania Urban stamp.  I have coloured the butterflies with pro-markers and then I stamped some more butterflies onto acetate and attached to the top of the coloured butterflies.  I don't know if you can make out the acetate in the picture.

The pearls, lace and flowers are from my stash.
